Withdrawal — verification, timing, and what to do when it's delayed

We don't operate a withdrawal flow (we're an editorial desk). This page explains how legitimate fantasy platforms process withdrawals, the verification they require, and what to do if a withdrawal is delayed or denied.

KYC before withdrawal

What platforms verify before they release a withdrawal

1

Identity verification

A legitimate platform verifies your identity before processing a withdrawal. The verification typically requires a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport), a proof of address (utility bill, bank statement) and a live selfie for biometric matching. The verification happens once and is reused for future withdrawals.

2

Bank account or UPI ID verification

Platforms verify the bank account or UPI ID that the withdrawal goes to. The verification is typically a small credit-debit check (the platform sends ₹1 to the account and asks you to confirm the amount) plus a name match against the KYC documents.

3

Source-of-funds check

Larger withdrawals trigger a source-of-funds check. The check asks you to confirm the source of the funds being withdrawn (typically bank statements showing the deposits). The check is a regulatory requirement in some states and applies to all platforms.

4

Withdrawal approval

Once KYC, bank verification and source-of-funds are complete, the withdrawal is approved. The approval window varies by platform — most legitimate platforms publish a 24-hour to 7-business-day window. Read the platform's published withdrawal policy before your first withdrawal.

Withdrawal timing

What timing to expect on a typical platform

MethodTypical timingWhat affects the timing
UPIWithin 24 hoursKYC completion, source-of-funds check
IMPS bank transfer1-2 business daysKYC, source-of-funds, bank-cut-off times
NEFT bank transfer1-3 business daysBank holidays, KYC, source-of-funds
Card withdrawal3-7 business daysCard issuer processing, KYC, source-of-funds
Wallet (Paytm / Amazon Pay)Within 24 hoursWallet KYC requirements

Verify the platform's published timing. The numbers above are typical; some platforms publish faster or slower windows. If a withdrawal takes longer than the platform's published window, contact support with the reference number.

If your withdrawal is delayed

What to do when a withdrawal does not process

A

Confirm the published timing

Re-read the platform's published withdrawal timing. Some delays are within the published window. If the delay is within the window, wait the full window before escalating.

B

Contact customer support with the reference

Open a support ticket with the withdrawal reference number. Reference numbers let the support team look up the specific transaction and respond quickly. Keep the email / chat transcript for the escalation.

C

Escalate if no response within 48 hours

If the platform does not respond within 48 hours, escalate. Most platforms have an escalation contact (a separate email or a senior support email). The escalation contact is usually published in the platform's help pages.

D

Reach out to your state's regulator

If the platform is registered with your state's regulator, you can file a complaint with the regulator. The complaint is reviewed against the platform's published terms. If the regulator confirms a violation, the platform can face penalties.

Common withdrawal scams

Three fraud patterns around withdrawals

The "verification fee"

A withdrawal request is held pending a "verification fee". The fee is asked to be paid to the platform or to a third-party account. A legitimate platform never asks for a verification fee before processing a withdrawal. Walk away.

The "tax withholding" scam

A withdrawal request is held pending a tax payment. The platform claims the user has won above a threshold and needs to pay tax before the withdrawal. The legitimate TDS deduction is automatic; the user does not pay separately. Walk away.

The "deposit back" scam

A withdrawal request is held pending a deposit back into the platform. The platform claims that a deposit is required to "activate" the withdrawal. A legitimate platform doesn't require deposits before withdrawals. Walk away.

The "shared account" issue

A withdrawal request is held because the platform has detected the account is shared. Sharing accounts is a violation of platform terms and is a common reason for account suspension. Reach out to support with the legitimate account-holder's KYC.

Frequently asked

Questions our readers ask

No. We are an editorial desk and we do not run a fantasy platform. We don't hold player deposits, we don't hold wallets, and we don't process withdrawals. Any withdrawal request goes to the platform that holds your account.

Most legitimate platforms publish their withdrawal timeline — typically 1-7 business days depending on the payment method. UPI withdrawals tend to clear the fastest, often within 24 hours. Bank transfers and card withdrawals can take longer.

Contact the platform's customer support with the withdrawal reference number first. If the platform does not respond within 48 hours, escalate to the platform's regulator (if registered) or to your state's public gambling-resource helpline.

Reading support

How this page relates to the rest of the desk

The desk's coverage is interconnected

Every page on this site connects to the editorial graph — captain matrices link to predictions, predictions link to fantasy tips, fantasy tips link to player profiles, player profiles link to team desks, team desks link to venue reads. Reading the desk's coverage weekly keeps your calibration of the framework current.

This page is one node in the graph. When the inputs on this page change, the related coverage is updated. The change log is published in the editor's monthly note; readers can see the run of changes across the desk.

What to read next

From this page, the most useful next reads are: (1) the predictions hub for today's captain matrix; (2) the fantasy-tips hub for the decision framework; (3) the team desks for the squad-level reads; (4) the verification pages for safety guidance on third-party products.

Each of those is one click away from this page — the link is in the page footer, in the navigation bar, or in the related-coverage section of this page. Bookmark the desk-level landing pages for fast access; bookmark the article-level pages for deep reads.

Editor note

How an editor works this page

1

Inputs

The editor reads every input before the page publishes. Inputs include public sources, the desk's previous reads, and any source-tip submissions. The editor labels every input as confirmed, reported, or projected.

2

Verification

The editor runs the verification ladder on every claim. Confirmed (verified, on the record), reported (single-source, on the record), projected (analyst inference), editorial lean (weighted view across inputs).

3

Read

The editor writes the desk's read with a confidence tag (high, moderate, cautious, no call). The confidence tag is published at the top of the read; readers can size their own calls against the tag.

4

Audit

The editor signs off on the captain matrix and the audit ladder. The audit ladder feeds the desk confidence score; the score is published quarterly with its limitations named.

Limitations

What this desk cannot do

Outcome certainty

The desk cannot guarantee fantasy outcomes. Fantasy is uncertain by nature; the desk's reads are probabilities, not certainties. We label every read with a confidence tag and never use certainty language.

Source limitation

The desk is limited to public sources. We don't have access to private net sessions, undisclosed injuries, or unreleased squad information. When the inputs are not public, the read is held.

Editorial bias

The desk writes with humans and carries implicit biases. We minimise bias by anchoring to named inputs and a named verification ladder. We publish the editor's monthly note so readers can see the bias and the track record.

Time lag

A read at 09:00 IST may be obsolete by 17:00 IST. The desk updates the captain matrix as soon as the inputs change. Freshness of any single page is bounded by the freshness of the inputs it depends on.
